Dr. Austin is retired professor of psychology and former occupant of the

Robert and Mary Ann Hall Chair for Psychology and Intercultural Studies at Abilene Christian University.  He was an early researcher in the field of cross-cultural reentry and this ground-breaking work was used by the U.S. State Department.
